About One Young Wife
One Young Wife is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to equipping young wives and creating normalcy for children in foster care.
We believe that a home rooted in God creates the foundation for growth, healing, and lasting impact. By walking with young wives in the early years of marriage and funding the unmet needs of youth in care, we bridge two worlds that are deeply connected: the woman becoming, and the child in need of normalcy.
Our Mission
One Young Wife exists to equip young wives with the spiritual, emotional, and relational tools to flourish in marriage—while also providing structure, stability, and trauma-informed support for children who have been displaced, abandoned, or medically fragile.
We work with women building homes rooted in God, and with children who need one—believing both deserve guidance, nurture, support, and stability.
Our Vision
A world where young wives flourish in deeply rooted, God-centered marriages—and every child from hard places finds safety, normalcy, and the support of a nurturing environment, no matter their past.
Why We Exist
There are gaps in support that too often go unnoticed.
Young wives are navigating the fragile early years of marriage without the spiritual guidance, emotional tools, or community they need to build lasting, God-centered homes. Meanwhile, some children in foster care are growing up without the structure, consistency, and joyful experiences that help them feel safe, included, and connected—because those needs often fall outside of what the system can fund.
We exist to stand in those gaps.
Through mentorship, marriage-strengthening tools, flexible funding, and trauma-informed partnerships, we provide what others can’t: faith-rooted support for the woman becoming—and personalized care for the child needing normalcy.
Because the early years of marriage can feel isolating.
Because some children in foster care have never known what normal feels like.
Because what we do today, we do for the future.
One Young Wife was created for both:
For the woman becoming. For the child needing normalcy.
What Normal Looks Like
Sometimes it’s a child taking a stroll through the mall without a caseworker beside them.
A bra that fits.
An extra pair of glasses for the countless times a child loses the original.
A school uniform without stains.
A dance class after school.
These aren’t luxuries—they’re signals of stability.
They’re reminders that someone thought ahead.
That someone cares.
This is what normalcy looks like.
This is what One Young Wife helps make possible.
