Creating Normalcy for Foster Youth

We support licensed foster care programs and other youth-serving organizations by funding the experiences, essentials, and therapies that help children feel safe, valued, and free to just be kids. From after-school activities and outings to hygiene kits and non-Medicaid-covered therapies like anger management or pet therapy, we fill the gap left by state funding—making normalcy possible for children who may be experiencing it for the first time.

Our Strategy:

To help foster youth experience the everyday joys of childhood, we’ve created four key strategies focused on building normalcy.

Filling Gaps in Daily Life

We partner with GROs and care programs to identify unfunded needs and provide flexible support—whether that’s covering the cost of a school event, replacing worn shoes, or sponsoring therapy not included in Medicaid.

Funding Real-Life Moments

We invest in the activities and rhythms that create a sense of normal: sports teams, field trips, birthday parties, summer camps, after-school clubs, and safe outings that build connection and joy.

Expanding Access to Therapeutic Support

We fund services that help children regulate and grow—like anger management classes, pet therapy, and music or art therapy—ensuring that emotional healing is never limited by red tape.

Partnering with Programs That Share Our Values

We support trauma-informed organizations like Alafia Haven and DeFlourish Home, as well as other programs that prioritize consistency, compassion, and care beyond the basics.

Services and Items We Help Provide

Services:

  • After-school and weekend enrichment

  • Field trips, school events, and supervised outings

  • Holiday and birthday celebrations

  • Non-Medicaid therapies (e.g., pet therapy, anger management, music/art therapy)

  • Hygiene kits and personal care tools (including electric toothbrushes that help youth complete routines independently)

  • Clothing, shoes, backpacks, and school supplies

  • Games, crafts, and emotional regulation tools

  • Travel costs for reunification visits or meaningful group experiences

How Can you Help?

Every child deserves stability, safety, and the chance to thrive. At our group homes, we provide more than shelter—we offer healing, structure, and hope for children and teens in foster care.
